Jamb Cover Trim

One of the trim options we offer is jamb cover trim. Though common, the red-iron jamb and header around a door opening are normally exposed. Using jamb cover trim is an inexpensive way to improve the appearance of your steel building.

For instance, perimeter sheet rock walls may be installed by simply attaching metal furring strips (hat channel) to the secondary wall framing members (girts). Similarly, acoustic panel or dry-wall ceilings may be installed by simply wrapping the ceiling suspension wires around the secondary roof framing members (purlins). Additionally, port-a-wall systems may be installed as needed throughout the structure.

Additional loads from heating and air conditioning systems, dropped ceilings, electrical conduit and lighting fixtures, or large mechanical sprinkler systems can be accommodated easily at your request with minimal cost, assuring a full roof-load certification.

The building components may represent a small percentage of the total cost of your office budget. Full cover trim. Provides head and jamb cover trim and sill trim if applicable, so that no red iron is visible at the opening.

Thermal Conductivity (K-Value)

A unit used to express the amount of heat, in BTU's per hour, that passes through one square foot of homogeneous material that is exactly one inch thick and has a temperature difference of one degree Fahrenheit between its surfaces. As the K-Value decreases, so does the amount of heat permitted to pass through the material.

Plans and Drawings: We provide a full set of anchor bolt plans for the placement of anchor bolts in the foundation. We also provide engineered stamped and certified construction prints. In addition we provide an in depth erection manual to walk you through the erection of your building.
